As longtime fans of the refreshing low-alcohol glacial purity of
Jacquère-based Jongieux, we’re delighted to present this new entry
to our market from the Domaine de la Rosière. One of the seventeen
superior villages in the appellation allowed to append their names
to the Vin de Savoie AOC designation, Jongieux crafts wines
considered by most experts to be among the very finest of this
sub-alpine region. Rosière’s 2011 Jongieux opens with a brilliant
pale gold color and refreshing scents of lime zest, chamomile and
crushed stones. Zippy, clean, fresh and bristling with crisp
mineral-driven grapefruit, lime and lemon fruit, the wine is
thrillingly pure and utterly refreshing, finishing as crisp and
refreshing as it starts. At a modest 11.5% alcohol, it’s versatile
for both weekend brunches, light midweek dinners and as an after
work refreshment. Enjoy now and over the next year with poached
fish preparations, green vegetables and any time the call is for a
light, refreshing, mineral-driven white wine.
