Sonoma Valley, California
A blend of vines planted in the 1880s at Old Hill Ranch in Sonoma. Zinfandel takes the lead, but there's at least trace amounts of more than two dozen other varieties here as well, including Syrah, Petit Sirah, Grenache, Alicante Bouchet, Mourvedre, Carignane, and Tempranillo; California's early settlers planted whatever vines they had brought with them and kept very little track of which vine went where.
