Mokoroa’s Txakoli from the great 2019 vintage opens with a shimmering, pale green-lemon color in the bowl segueing to aromas of lime juice, honeydew melon, green plums, and briny minerals. Propelled by a healthy dose of dissolved CO2, Mokoroa’s Txakoli invigorates the palate with riveting expressions of Key lime juice, green apple skin, gardenia blossoms, and salty sea spray. The wine finishes fresh, saline, and vigorous with layers of citrus zest, gooseberry, quinine, and fresh ginger. Mokoroa has fashioned a very distinctive crisp Txakoli, and an outstanding value for its denominación.
